Well we finally arrived in Nauvoo on Tuesday. It is so lush and green with trees everywhere. Rudi is going crazy because the trees are touching our roof. I keep telling him the grounds personal will handle it but I fear for the trees in Nauvoo with Rudi around! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming to us, we feel so special. Pres. and Sister Condie had us to dinner last and what wonderful people they are. She was born and raised in Germany. She reminds me of Grandma Diederich. We start working at the temple tomorrow morning at 6:30 am. I'm a little nervous but president says I'll fit in perfectly! Rudi will do fine because he's been training for 50 years. We won't again until next Tues. because of General Conference and our P-day is Monday. Rudi and I are loving this special place already. I' m excited to serve and enjoy the spirit of Nauvoo. We look forward to sharing this special experience with all of you. We miss our family and dear friends but know this is the place we're suppose to be. We'd love to hear from you! Stay sweet and know that we love and appreciate all of you. Elder and Sister Diederich Pictures of Nauvoo Temple and our cottage.
